NVIDIA: новый стандарт в индустрии игр для ПК

Реализуется программа следующим образом. NVIDIA предлагает разработчикам игр поучаствовать. Разработчики совместно с NVIDIA оптимизируют код своих игр так, чтобы они без проблем запускались и работали на видеокартах с графическими процессорами NVIDIA. Такие игры в нашем журнале помечаются специальным логотипом.

Конечно, это никоим образом не означает, что стоит видеокарте с чипом NVIDIA появиться внутри вашего компьютера, как на нем тут же пойдут все игры «с логотипом». Чтобы они пошли, ваш компьютер должен отвечать их системным требованиям. А карточка на основе процессора NVIDIA будет залогом того, что игра запустится без капризов и не будет глючить. С помощью «The Way It's Meant to be Played» компания надеется создать некий единый стандарт, благодаря которому геймерам не придется заботиться о совместимости игр и видеоподсистемы. Ближайший аналог такого стандарта можно взять из мира игровых консолей. Их владельцы могут быть уверены, что купленные ими игры будут нормально работать на той консоли, для которой они предназначены.

В рамках программы на данный момент разработано уже около сотни игр. Ниже приведен список всех вышедших или готовящихся к выходу игр, которые обеспечиваются поддержкой программы «The Way It's Meant to be Played»:
